CORN BY MATURITY

Hybrid Seed Corn

T.A. Seeds is the only company in the northeast growing and conditioning the majority of the varieties of corn we sell. This is critical—we are vertically integrated—meaning that we are making choices about what to grow based on careful research into seed genetics. Then we test, grow, process, and retail our own products. That means that you get the absolute best seed variety suited to your geographic situation. With Zone Select GeneticsTM, you will see better results, and thus more profit.

YieldGard® Corn Borer (TA Trait# 01)

YieldGard® Corn Borer corn hybrids contain an insecticidal protein from Bacillus thuringiensis (B.t.) that protects corn plants from specific lepidopteran insect pests. The YieldGard Corn Borer trait delivers whole plant, full season protection against European corn borer, southwestern corn borer, sugarcane borer, and southern cornstalk borer resulting in maximum yield potential. YieldGard Corn Borer corn hybrids also provide intermediate protection* of corn earworm, fall armyworm, and stalk borer. By providing whole plant protection against corn borers, the genetic yield potential of YieldGard Corn Borer corn hybrids is preserved.
YieldGard® Corn Borer and Design are under license from, and registered trademarks of, Monsanto Technology, LLC.

Roundup Ready Corn 2 (TA Trait# 02)

Roundup Ready® Corn 2 contains enhanced in-plant tolerance to Roundup agricultural herbicides. Growers are provided excellent crop safety and full yield potential, with applications made from planting through 48 inches of corn height. Drop nozzles must be used between 30 inches and 48 inches of corn height.

Agrisure™ CB / Liberty Link® (TA Trait# 11)

Agrisure™ CB/LL allows hybrids to reach their maximum yield potential by providing excellent control of European corn borer and other damaging insects.
Agrisure CB/LL features the Bt11 event, which has been protecting cornfields since it was introduced in 1997. The Bt11 event utilizes the naturally occurring soil bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) and produces a protein which is toxic to Lepidopteran insects. When a corn borer eats any part of the corn leaves, silks, stalks or ears, the Bt protein breaks down in the intestine, damages the cell membrane and causes death before economic crop damage can occur.
In addition, all hybrids with Agrisure CB are tolerant to LIBERTY® herbicide. Tolerance to Liberty herbicide is the selectable marker used by Syngenta for identifying genetics with the Bt11 event. Hence all hybrids with Agrisure CB also feature the LibertyLink® logo. The LibertyLink benefit gives growers another option for weed control. Hybrids with Agrisure CB deliver excellent control of European corn borer and several other members of the Lepidoptera family of insects.
Excellent control of first- and second-generation European corn borer
Excellent control of first-generation and very strong control of second-generation Southwestern corn borer
Excellent control of leaf-feeding damage and suppression of ear-feeding damage from corn earworm
Suppression of fall armyworm and Southern cornstalk borer
Reduced disease pressure due to less corn borer stalk and ear tunneling injury resulting in enhanced plant stand and grain quality
Tolerance to Liberty herbicide which serves as effective tool for managing glyphosate resistance

YieldGard VT Triple™ (YieldGard® Corn Borer and Rootworm with Roundup Ready® Corn 2) (TA Trait# 13V)

YieldGard VT Introducing the next generation of insect protection.
Improved Consistency Better Insect Protection Higher Yield Potential
YieldGard® is an innovative science that has delivered unprecedented products. Has set the standard for maximum insect protection. Its consistent in-plant control has given farmers bigger roots, healthier stalks and an average 8- to 10-bushel-an- acre yield advantage over corn treated with insecticides.
But now, YieldGard® scientist are on to the next technological breakthrough: a more-precise insertion process of multiple traits to create performance-enhanced stacked-trait hybrids. This new process is producing the next generation of YieldGard® stacked-trait products that are even better than the first generation of YieldGard®. These next generation products are called YieldGard VT™. Now T.A. Seeds can produce stacked-trait hybrids where individual traits are hotter.
For farmers, this means they will get stacked-trait hybrids with improved consistency, with even better insect protection and higher yield potential than current YieldGard® products on the market.
