Fundamentals of Equine Nutrition
In order to understand the value of forages to the equine, it is essential to
understand the fundamental principles and components of the equine digestive
system. Therefore, the Program will provide basic information on the digestive
tract of the equine with emphasis on the role of forages.

Forage Management
Appropriate forage
management is essential to the establishment and maintenance of a productive
forage system. Therefore, Barenbrug USA's Equinemaster Program will offer
technical information on forage management for pasture and hay systems. Examples
of topics to be covered are soil fertility, seeding methods, fertilization and
irrigation, principles of grazing management, and timing and method of hay
harvest. In addition, the Program will also provide marketing information for
the
professional equine hay producer.

Formulated for equine pastures in the
Northeast, Midwest and regions of the West. Equinemaster Pasture is formulated
on the principle: pastures are complex systems. A diverse mixture of
orchardgrass, endophyte-free tall fescues, timothy, bluegrass, and perennial
ryegrass. Agronomically, the mixture is formulated for rapid establishment and
yield as well as to tolerate equines' grazing and traffic patterns.
Nutritionally, it provides a highly palatable, digestible source of nutrients.
All forages are endophyte-free.

Description: TDN is a combination of grasses that will provide
full season silage or grazing production for dairy producers or perfect dry hay
or pasture mixture for horse and beef producers. TDN will assist you in
utilizing manure on some of your lighter soils while providing you quality feed.
Directions for use: If a pure stand is desired; seed at 25 pounds per acre. If
seeding with alfalfa add 4 to 6 pounds to 15 to 18 pounds of alfalfa.

Description: A great combination of leafy, late heading, high quality

Description: Dairymaster will excel under most
conditions and can be used as a high quality pasture mix or a grass baleage /

Alice White Clover
Alice is a large-leaved, vigorous white clover brand which exhibits a tall
growth pattern. It is a well known, proven white clover that is extremely
winter-hardy and grazing tolerant. Alice was the first white clover brand to
successfully combine production and persistence when inter-planted with grass.
With raising Nitrogen costs, Alice is a great option with very high Nitrogen
fixation rates.

Start Red Clover
Start red clover is a non-typical brand, been bred for persistence and quality.
Unlike other brands, it has fine stems and will withstand high traffic. In hay

mixtures.

TA Seeds Sorghum Sudangrass and Forage Sorghum have an option to be specially
treated with Concep II.
Concep II is a herbicide safener, when used as a seed
treatment, protects grain and forage sorghum from herbicidal injury due to S-metolachlor
(contained in the herbicides Dual Gold and Primextra Gold).
Concep II is
registered for application to grain and forage sorghum seed to protect it from
the phytotoxic effects of Dual Gold and Primextra Gold herbicides.
