Starbuck Alfalfa

While talking to hay and dairy producers about what they want in an alfalfa
brand, our list became long—fine-stemmed, deep-rooted, fast regrowth after
cutting, high multi-flora expression, high-quality, highyielding, good disease
package, good winter survival rates, and adequate fall dormancy. We found it in
Starbuck! Its regrowth after cutting is 8.6 of a possible 9, with a greater than
85% multi-flora expression. Farmer Proven: #1 selling – This
is our best performer, and with a disease package of 29 of 30, a winter survival
rate of 1.3, and a fall dormancy of 3.7, Starbuck should be in your operation.
Pre-inoculated and treated for your convenience. 50 lb units
TED’s Premium Alfalfa Blend

The TED’s Blend is another option for the hay and dairy producer. This blend of
premium alfalfa brands is a good choice if you plan to rotate within a couple of
years or are looking for an inexpensive approach for your operation. This blend
offers a DRI of 26 of 30. Preinoculated and treated for your convenience. 50 lb
units.
Integrity Alfalfa

Integrity provides high traffic and grazing tolerance and superior adaptability.
It features broad, deep-set crowns with exceptional resistance to the most
common root rots. Integrity has both a branched root system and a large tap root
system to allow this brand to excel in the driest of years as well as the
wettest. It has high resistance ratings to 8 major diseases as well as excellent
insect resistance, including a yellowish resistance to potato leafhopper and the
pea aphid. On top of everything else, Integrity ranks high for Relative Feed
Quality, pounds of milk per acre, and pounds of milk per ton and above average
protein levels. Preinoculated and treated for your convenience. 50 lb units
Repel II Alfalfa

Repel is the next generation potato leafhopper-resistant brand. Selection was
made for forage yield, persistence, and multiple disease resistance. University
of Wisconsin testing shows that the glandular haired (GH) types had relative
feed value and protein content similar to the best improved quality cultivars
when there was no PLH pressure. With PLH damage, the new resistant brands show a
2-3 point higher protein content than susceptible checks. Preinoculated and
treated for you convenience. Fall dormancy = 4.0. 50 lb units
Genuity® RoundUp® Ready Alfalfa
The RR Alfalfa is a “best practices” aggressive management product, with
competitive performance with the leading conventional alfalfas on the market. It
will have a tall, upright growth habit with medium dark-green foliage. Delivers
unsurpassed weed control and crop safety. Pre-inoculated and treated for your
convenience. 50 lb. unit.
Prime Alfalfa

Prime is a new brand selected for high forage yields, superior quality, and
excellent winter hardiness. Prime is adapted to Fall Dormancies 3, 4, and 5
production zones. Prime fits the traditional 4 cut system but can handle more
aggressive cutting if the environmental conditions allow. Pest and disease
resistance is 30 of 30 DRI. High Forage quality and High tons per acre can be
achieved by cutting at a one-tenth flower or 10 percent flowering. Fast recovery
will follow after harvest. Adaptability also applies to this very productive
alfalfa brand. Fall dormancy of 5.0 and winter hardiness of 2.0. Preinoculated
and treated for your convenience. 50 lb units
Leader Alfalfa

Leader alfalfa has a very rapid regrowth and excellent winter hardiness. It
adapts well to Multi-cut hay/silage system and maintains high yields as stand
matures. This alfalfa has an outstanding feed quality (relative feed quality is
105% of checks), lower fiber and better fiber digestibility for better milk
production. High Forage quality and High tons per acre can be achieved by
cutting at a one-tenth flower or 10 percent flowering. Leader has outstanding
pest and disease resistance: 30 of 30 DRI. Preinoculated and treated for your
convenience. 50 lb unit
ReNew Branch Root
Alfalfa

ReNew features the branch root trait in
combination with high resistance to the pathogens that inhabit wet soils. Its
root system is designed to keep more of it above the water table and better
secures the plant in the ground when freezing and thawing occurs. This plant
will adjust as moisture stresses intensify and will produce high forage yields
in both poor and well-drained soils. Coated, pre-inoculated, and treated for
your convenience. 50 lb. unit.
